Salary: R600 000 - R12 000 000 Annually

Job Purpose - Responsible for the end to end delivery of IT Services to support Africa Virtual Channels (Internet, Mobile, Messaging).
- The role provides strategic vision and operational IT leadership, is accountable for directing, planning, organising and controlling IT functions within Africa IT New Banking for virtual channels.
- In addition, the role is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of IT services and sponsors process/system improvements aimed at the efficient and cost effective provision of IT services to business.
Key Result Areas
- Plan, develop and implement a strategy which is aligned to the Business Unit strategy and Africa IT strategy.
- Partner with Africa IT Architecture to ensure that the architecture defined for Personal & Business Banking (PBB) Africa Virtual channels supports the defined Architecture strategy.
- Direct the execution of all projects in conjunction with Business Executives and area head.
- Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships between Africa IT PBB and the associated business personnel in centre and countries.
- Define Service Level Agreements and ensure efficient and effective delivery of IT services to PBB Africa Virtual channels aligned to the SLA.
- Management of vendors supplying services to PBB Africa IT Virtual Channels.
- Ensure that a cost effective service is provided to business.
- To implement and sustain appropriate and relevant technology solutions to enable key Virtual channels Business processes.
- Facilitate and manage change management activities with respect to both projects and day-to-day IT operations.
- Responsible for all aspects of people management within the PBB Africa IT virtual channels team.
Qualifications
- Matric.
- Tertiary qualifications such as a Business or and Engineering degree or similar qualification essential.
Knowledge
- 5+ years experience in the IT Virtual channels environment .
- Leadership experience.
- Project Leadership experience.
- Business Acumen and emotional/business intelligence.
- Banking Experience.
- Global experience an advantage
- Understanding of the retail banking network
- Knowledge of cost management principles and practices.
Experience - At least 10 years related retail banking experience in virtual channels roles (at management level).
